You may have heard your tutors or classmates talking about PDTs (Personal Development Tutors), but might not have understood what a PDT is and how the process works.
If you make the time to go see your PDT, there are many potential benefits. Your PDT is there to guide you in your decision making at university and can also be extremely useful when it comes to areas like industry contacts and getting yourself that all important work experience.
This podcast will demystify the process for you and contains interviews full of good advice from staff and students.

Week six, Trimester 1 2010-11
11th October 2010
For week 6 we thought it was time to look at the issue of plagiarism and accurate referencing. This is an area which often causes problems for new students and the implications of either inaccurate referencing or plagiarism can be serious, often leading to lost marks and even failed coursework.
To help guide you, Christina Mainka (Formerly a Lecturer in Technology Enhanced Teaching and Learning, at Edinburgh Napier University, and plagiarism Guru) has prepared this week's podcast, complete with a few easy to remember pieces of advice to help enhance your work and avoid potential banana skins! You might also like to visit the University’s ‘Be wise don’t plagiarise’ website for further information (http://www2.napier.ac.uk/ed/plagiarism/ ).
