Week six, Trimester 1 2010-11
11th October 2010
For week 6 we thought it was time to look at the issue of plagiarism and accurate referencing. This is an area which often causes problems for new students and the implications of either inaccurate referencing or plagiarism can be serious, often leading to lost marks and even failed coursework.
To help guide you, Christina Mainka (Formerly a Lecturer in Technology Enhanced Teaching and Learning, at Edinburgh Napier University, and plagiarism Guru) has prepared this week's podcast, complete with a few easy to remember pieces of advice to help enhance your work and avoid potential banana skins! You might also like to visit the University’s ‘Be wise don’t plagiarise’ website for further information (http://www2.napier.ac.uk/ed/plagiarism/ ).
As always, if you have any comments on this podcast please post these in reply to this message and remember, if you wish to contribute to the podcasting project or get involved in any way, please email us at podcast@napier.ac.uk
